2016 Diary – A Good Old Catch Up

It has been around 3 whole months since I last blogged… SO I have lots to catch you up on!

Deciding the layout for this blog has been a bit tricky as I have so many different things to update you on. I didn’t want to just throw my life in your face haha xD  So I’ve decided to go through the different, lets say “topics” of my life…

COLLEGE. Something that’s really becoming a struggle in my life lately For a while I haven’t been comfortable with going college, and it should be a part of my life where I have all the motivation to get up and learn the course that I’m in. Don’t get me wrong I absolutely love photography but the way the college organises, teaches and plans things out for this course… is just so unorganised and I can’t stand it in all honesty. I love learning new things all the time as photography is something that I love, and having challenges to complete all the time but I’m learning nothing… Like seriously college is really not what I expected 😦

For a while I have been thinking of leaving college or changing courses?? But obviously still carrying on with photography in my own time as I love expressing myself through photos 🙂 It’s been really frustrating and stressful deciding what to do, because I don’t want to make the wrong decision and mess up but I really can’t carry on studying at this college… After a long time of thinking I have decided to start a new course at a different college. As some of you may know I love working with animals so I’ve been thinking of starting a new course…’Animal Care’ for a year (until I’m 18) then I will be able to get a full time job to start saving for a car and to travel… it will be something completely different that will occupy my mind, also it is a very interesting thing to learn about 🙂 The only thing with doing animal care is it has nothing to do with my future career path that I would like to follow so I don’t want to feel like I am wasting time on something that I’m not going to carry on with So I’m still trying to think of what my next step will be… I have a meeting coming up soon about what will be happening next, so I will update you on that in my next blog.

Next thing PHOTOGRAPHY. The last main blog that I posted was about my first car meet and the results that I got… I have been to quite a few more car meets since then and my photos are most defiantly improving 🙂 Here are a few of my favourite shots!

At first I wasn’t the most confident with car photography and I was extremely shy to take photos… But after going to quite a few meets, meeting people and really joining in I have realised it is a really welcoming, friendly community and environment which I love 🙂 and is one of the many reasons why I really enjoy going to the different car meets.

Other “topics” have happened since I last blogged but they are things which are more on the personal side of my life… so I would like to keep them to myself.

A lot of my plans are finally starting to come together so there are quite a few awesome blogs to come! Keep an eye out 🙂

2016 Diary – My Week Off

Having a week off has allowed me to rethink and refresh myself with home situations and college work.

I have near enough caught up with the majority of my college work now, I just need to finish off one more test shoot and write an overall outcome for what I will be photographing for my final piece for this assignment.

In my previous blog I said that I will share some of my test shoot results. One of the test shoots that I have done this week off is for the topic ‘Issues of Concern’ The issues that I have been focusing on is eating disorders. It is something that sticks out to me quite a bit, so I thought I could try and connect to the meaning of the photo. For the photo I wanted to have someone trying to eat but they’re not really there… If that makes any sense? Here’s one of the photos that I have nearly finished

I really like how my test shoot has turned out. The photos are not finished  because I only wanted to roughly see what my final piece may look like. Let me know what you think?

Most of the week I have been catching up with a lot of college work, and completing tasks. Also finishing, yet another TV series – AWKWARD. Such a good show, I really think that people in my age group can relate, which is why I got so stuck into it.

Overall my week off has been really refreshing! Now back to college!
